How do banks and wealth firms use Moxo for client onboarding?
Quick Answer: Moxo's financial-services page (read 13 October 2026) pitches account opening and KYC reviews as shared work: the client gets a secure link to see what is needed and sign, while relationship managers, compliance and operations staff review and approve inside one tracked flow. The named bank case studies do not describe the current product, though: Moxo told Automation Atlas in writing on 6 October 2026 that its Citibank, BNP Paribas and Bank of Queensland stories describe Moxo Classic.
The client acts through a link, and staff review and approve
Moxo's financial-services page (read 13 October 2026) splits onboarding into coordination, which it gives to AI ("preparation, validation, and follow-up"), and judgement, which stays with staff. Its workflow page names who does what.
| Person | What they do on Moxo | Moxo's wording |
|---|---|---|
| Client | Receives a secure link, sees what is needed, responds | "act without creating an account" |
| Relationship manager | Supplies client context and hands the case on to account opening | "smooth transition from initial contact to account opening" |
| Legal and compliance | Reviews documents and checks KYC and AML adherence | "Reviews and approves client documentation" |
The bank case studies describe Moxo Classic
Moxo told Automation Atlas in writing on 6 October 2026, with no documents supplied, that its Citibank, BNP Paribas and Bank of Queensland case studies are on Moxo Classic and that those customers are migrating to the AI version. Moxo gave BNP Paribas's deployment as on-premises and Citibank's and Bank of Queensland's as private cloud. The Moxo AI and Classic answer explains the two apps.
Read the stories for what they cover. The customers page (13 October 2026) headlines BNP Paribas as streamlining "onboarding and account management", but the story describes MyWealth, a client hub for messaging, file exchange, signatures, video meetings and transactions. No bank story on the page describes a KYC check.
KYC checks and wealth connectors rest on one older help article
Moxo's Description of Services (read 13 October 2026) lists native E-Signature, a DocuSign step, AI extraction from documents and a REST API step that calls "any HTTP endpoint". It names no identity-verification step. The KYC name comes from a help-centre article updated 22 October 2025 and read 28 September 2026: flows can add "Stripe for payments or Jumio for KYC as Flow actions", and its integration list includes Wealthbox, Redtail, Global Relay and Smarsh. That article may describe Moxo Classic, and a bot check blocked a re-read on 13 October. Ask Moxo to show Jumio running as a step in Moxo AI, and whether the wealth connectors only send data out of Moxo or read it back.
A risk team gets statements, not documents
| Item | What Moxo told Automation Atlas, 6 October 2026 | Not stated |
|---|---|---|
| Assurance | SOC 2 Type II report and pen-test summary under NDA; ISO 27001 "in process" | Documents |
| Hosting | AWS US and EU zones; private cloud and on-premises available | Region choice at setup, contractual residency |
| Uptime | 99.99% SLA | Which plan |
Audit records export as CSV, JSON or PDF with a SHA-256 fingerprint (Description of Services, 13 October 2026). Moxo stopped publishing prices: by 13 October 2026 moxo.com/pricing redirected to its homepage. The last published list, read 28 September 2026, put Team at $5,000 a year for 100 flows and listed the audit log and AI agents under Scale, a custom quote.
High-volume processing and core banking are the wrong fit
The fintech ranking puts Moxo 8th of 8 at 6.1 (13 October 2026), behind MuleSoft Anypoint Platform at 8.5, Microsoft Power Automate at 8.1 and Workato at 8.0. Choose one of those for straight-through processing or core-banking integration: Moxo's API allows 1,000 requests a minute per key (Moxo API 2.0.0, read 13 October 2026), and a Flow is one running case, so thousands of new clients a year means thousands of Flows against Team's last published 100. Moxo suits a bank or wealth firm whose onboarding is people and paperwork.
Editor's Note: Moxo's Terms warrant that the service will "operate substantially in conformance with the Description of Services", which makes that page the list a bank can hold Moxo to. It lists native e-signature, a DocuSign step and AI extraction, but no identity-verification step, so on our reading the warranty covers no KYC function. Jumio is named for KYC in a help article from October 2025 that may describe Moxo Classic, and the Terms give Moxo "no liability or responsibility" for third-party apps. We would write the identity step, its vendor and whether it runs in Moxo AI into the Order Form. — Rafal Fila, ShadowGen

Best Human-in-the-Loop Automation Platforms 2026
Eight platforms are ranked here on a single mechanism: how a person enters an automated path, and what the system can prove afterward about the decision they made. Moxo scores 7.7 and ranks first; Camunda 8 scores 7.2, Microsoft Power Automate 7.1, Pega 6.9, n8n 6.7, Zapier 5.9, Kissflow 5.8 and ServiceNow 4.8, scored 22 September 2026 on the five weighted criteria. Those criteria cover the step type, the approver's account or licence, the routes available on a rejection, the audit record, and the meter that charges for the decision, and none of them can tell a review from a rubber stamp, so the methodology adds a check readers can run on any product in a few minutes: whether the decision record tells a considered approval from an instant one. Every figure was read from a vendor-owned surface and carries its own date.
Best Automation Platforms for AI Orchestration 2026
This ranking answers one question: how many real business applications can an AI agent act on out of the box? It evaluates nine platforms as of August 2026 on the reach they give an agent, not on the workflow logic they can express. That boundary is deliberate, because two neighbouring pages on this site answer different questions. Best Process Orchestration Platforms 2026 scores multi-step process control, error handling and state management. Best AI Agent Platforms 2026 scores building and hosting the agent itself. This page scores the layer between them: the connective tissue that lets an agent already built elsewhere reach the applications a business actually runs on. A platform that leads one of those pages can place low here, and two of them do. Scores derive from application and action catalogue counts, the exposure model each platform uses to publish those catalogues to an agent, setup effort, failure handling and cost per agent action. Every figure was retrieved from a vendor-owned surface on 11 August 2026 unless an earlier date is stated against it.

Moxo vs Gumloop in 2026: Texting the Client, or Building the Agent
Gumloop (founded 2023) builds AI agents a company's own staff run; Moxo, whose predecessor Moxtra was co-founded in 2012, runs processes that wait on people outside the company. Gumloop wins three rounds to two: the way in, per-tool gating and a priced overage. Moxo wins on texting a client a step and on what that client can be asked to do. Vendor pages and docs were read on 28 September 2026.
Moxo vs Relay.app in 2026: Where Relay's Approval Workflows Can Go Next
Relay.app, founded in 2021, shut down in September 2026 and deleted every account, workflow and run history; Moxo, whose predecessor Moxtra was co-founded in 2012, is one destination for its human-in-the-loop users. Relay.app takes two rounds, Moxo one, and vendor risk is a draw. The page maps which Relay steps Moxo replaces, on which plan, and what the shutdown teaches about exports, from sources read 28 September 2026.
Moxo vs Workato in 2026: The Integration Estate, or the Approval Inside It
Workato, founded in 2013, is an enterprise integration platform whose Workflow apps add human tasks to recipes; Moxo, whose predecessor Moxtra was co-founded in 2012, ships the human step itself. Workato wins three rounds to two: connector reach, change control and the way in. Moxo wins the human step and retries. Vendor pages and docs were read on 28 September 2026.
