Editorial review · always free
Submit a tool for editorial review
Building an automation tool we haven't covered yet? We'd like to hear about it. Submission is free, and always has been.
01
We verify
Checked against primary sources: pricing pages, documentation, release notes, and filings.
02
We reply
Generally a few days — after an initial validation of the tool against our editorial standards.
03
We talk
If it clears our editorial bar, we may suggest a short call to learn more before we write.
Submission is free, and reviews follow the same process for every tool — how they work is set out in our editorial standards.
Common questions
- Does submitting cost anything?
- No. Submission is free and always has been.
- Does submitting guarantee coverage?
- No. Inclusion is an editorial decision and is never influenced by submission.
- How long until I hear back?
- Generally a few days. We run an initial validation of the tool first, then reply once we have checked it against our editorial standards.
- What do you verify?
- Claims that are confirmable from primary sources: vendor pricing pages, official documentation, release notes, and regulatory filings.
- Is there a paid option?
- Listing and review are free and editorially decided. Vendors who want broader or earlier coverage than our schedule would naturally reach can fund additional editorial time through ShadowGen; that funds the hours of evaluation work, and the same editorial standards apply either way.
