Building Custom Dashboards in Monday.com

Monday.com's Dashboard feature allows teams to create visual reports that aggregate data across multiple boards. As of April 2026, dashboards are available on Standard ($12/seat/month) and above.

Creating a Dashboard

1. Click "+ Add" in the left sidebar and select "Dashboard"
2. Choose "New Dashboard" (blank) or start from a template
3. Connect boards that the dashboard should pull data from
4. Add widgets from the widget panel

Available Widget Types (30+)

• Chart: Bar, line, pie, stacked bar, and area charts
• Numbers: Display a single KPI (sum, average, count, min, max)
• Battery: Visual progress indicator for status columns
• Timeline: Gantt-style view across connected boards
• Workload: Team capacity view showing who is overloaded
• Table: Filtered table view of items from connected boards
• Time tracking: Summary of tracked time across items
• Countdown: Time remaining until a target date
• Embedded apps: Embed Google Sheets, Figma, Miro, or any URL
• Text: Rich text blocks for context and annotations

Cross-Board Reporting

Dashboards can connect to multiple boards simultaneously. This enables:

• Company-wide project status overview
• Cross-department resource allocation
• Client portfolio tracking across separate client boards
• Sales pipeline combined with delivery project status

Filtering and Grouping

Each widget supports filtering by:

• Person (show only a specific team member's data)
• Group (filter by board group/section)
• Date range (this week, last month, custom range)
• Status or any column value

Sharing Dashboards

• Internal sharing: Add collaborators or share with the entire workspace
• TV mode: Full-screen display optimized for office monitors
• Shareable link: Generate a read-only link for stakeholders without Monday.com accounts
• PDF export: Download dashboard snapshots for presentations

Limitations

• Standard plan: 1 dashboard per board
• Pro plan: Unlimited dashboards
• Maximum 20 connected boards per dashboard widget
• Some widget types (workload, time tracking) require Pro plan or above
