Strengths

  • 1,089 toolkits and 20,000+ tools reachable through a single MCP endpoint rather than one server per app
  • Runtime delegated auth: accounts connect on user intent rather than by advance configuration
  • SOC 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certified
  • Lowest published cost per agent tool call in this ranking as of 11 August 2026

Limitations

  • Developer-only; there is no configuration path for a business user
  • Application catalogue trails Zapier, Pipedream, Make and Power Automate
  • Founded in June 2023, so the operating track record is shorter than every other platform ranked here
  • A pricing change announced for 15 August 2026 gives the published figures a short shelf life

About Composio

Composio is an agent-integration platform that gives AI agents authenticated access to third-party business applications. Its catalogue listed 1,089 toolkits on 11 August 2026, each toolkit corresponding to one application such as Gmail, Slack, GitHub or Notion, and collectively exposing more than 20,000 individual tools. The whole catalogue is reachable through a single MCP endpoint rather than one server per application.

Authentication is the platform's central function. Composio-managed auth is the default: an agent connects an account at runtime through a session, and the platform handles OAuth flows, API keys, token refresh and credential lifecycle, with permissions scoped per connection. This removes the need for developers to build authorisation flows or store tokens themselves, and it allows authentication to be triggered by user intent during a conversation rather than configured in advance.

The platform is model and framework agnostic, with SDKs published for Python and TypeScript and a REST API served at version 3.1 as of August 2026. It integrates with MCP-compatible clients including Claude Desktop, Cursor and the OpenAI Agents SDK. Composio holds SOC 2 and ISO 27001:2022 certifications. The product targets engineering teams building agent applications rather than business users configuring an assistant, and there is no no-code configuration path.
